1. Who we are
CanPop Media is a trading name of The Content Panel Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 11573795; registered office 20-22 Wenlock Road, London N1 7GU, United Kingdom), which publishes a network of Canadian local lifestyle websites and their social media accounts. You can reach us at editor@canpopmedia.ca.
2. What these terms cover
These terms apply to this website and to the other websites and social media accounts we publish, wherever they link to these terms. By using them you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use them. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information and forms part of these terms.
3. Our content
What we publish is general information for people who live in or visit a city. Events get cancelled, prices change, and opening hours move, so please check with the venue before you go. We work hard to be accurate but we cannot guarantee that everything is complete or up to date, and nothing we publish is professional advice.
Advertising and sponsored content
We sell advertising under the CanPop Media name. Where an article, post or listing has been paid for, we label it as sponsored or as an advertisement.
4. Copyright
Our articles, photographs, graphics and videos belong to us or are used with permission. You are welcome to link to our pages and to quote short extracts with a credit and a link back. You may not copy, scrape or republish our content in bulk, or pass it off as your own, without our written permission.
5. Other people's content
Embedded posts and videos, photographs supplied by businesses, and links to other websites belong to their owners and are shown under their terms. We are not responsible for other websites or for what their owners publish.
6. Comments and messages
Where you can comment on or message our sites and accounts, please keep it civil. Do not post anything unlawful, defamatory, hateful, threatening, spammy, or that infringes someone else's rights or privacy. We may hide, remove or block anything that breaks these rules or a platform's own rules, without notice. You keep ownership of what you post, and you give us permission to display it on the site or account where you posted it.
7. Corrections, complaints and legal notices
We take accuracy and fairness seriously. If you believe something we have published is wrong, unfair, out of date, or defamatory, or that it uses your work or your likeness without permission, email editor@canpopmedia.ca with a link to the page and a short explanation of the problem. We will acknowledge your message promptly and correct, clarify or remove the material where that is the right thing to do. Formal legal notices can also be sent by post to CanPop Media at our Canadian address, or to The Content Panel Ltd at the registered office, both listed in section 11.
8. Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage that comes from using our websites or accounts or from relying on their content. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law. If you are a consumer in Canada, nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under the laws of your province or territory.
9. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top shows the current version.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you live in Canada, you keep the protection of the consumer laws of the province or territory where you live.
